Dengue Fever is a infectious disease spread by mosquitoes. It is characterized by a fever and a rash. The first reports of the virus were in 1799-1980 in Asia, Africa, and North America. A more recent pandemic of Dengue occurred after WW11 in Southeast Asia. Since then the virus has spread all around the world. In the1950's a stereotype of the virus, dengue hemorrhagic fever, was discovered. This form of the virus is more lethal because it can become fatal without proper treatment. With all of this in mind I wonder why Dengue Fever is not considered more of a world wide threat, and what will happen to it if it is not addressed now.

student at decatur high school in atlanta georgia. I
am doing a research paper on Dengue Fever. I was
referred to you by some of my parents friends at the
cdc. I would like to be  able to communicate with an
expert to get some information otherwise impossible to

I think my project is going well. I changed my topic but it still is right on track. I have found really good resourses. My resources are also very reliable. They are major health organizations all over the world. My research question is holding up well. Why does Dengue fever need to considered more of a world wide threat. It is specific and easy to make pursausive. I need some backround information but the pursuasive part is my part. I am trying to contact a primary resource. I have gotten some contact information but the phone number i called said they were not in working hours and the only time they are is when im in school. My mom knows some people who work at CDC so they might try to refer me to an expert.I like the way we are researching. It is easy and well organized. I think i have the tools to start writing so today i will begin my introduction.

This website isnt a direct resourse. It is a website with lots of links. I think the links are reliable because it think the World Health Organization is reliable.

I tried to contact a primary resourse. It was on the WebMD site. I emailed him asking him to contact him so i could get some information. The email address is hseda@cdc.gov . it would be really nice if i could communicate with an expert. He could give lots of information. There is also a phone number. it is 1-787-706-2399. i will try to call this.
